IN THE KNOW: THE GORGON SOCIETY

One of the highlights of the current officers is the Student Societies. The aim of the Gorgon Society is simple but it will be the most challenging among the other societies. In concept the Gorgon carries with it great potential but with it comes great responsibility otherwise the wielder might just turn themselves to stone by glancing at their own reflection.
The most challenging part in establishing a sports oriented society inside the College of Liberal Arts is the lack of athletes as most of the students are more intellectually and artistically developed. Although there are some who displays the athletic spirit it is the task of imparting it to other.

The Gorgon society hopes to develop the value of competition and sportsmanship as well as promote healthy relationships with other students. The origin of the name is proportional to the purpose why the society was established. The main goal of the gorgons would be to plan and strategic implementation of athletic development so that they might become valuable assets of the College of Liberal Arts during sport activities.

The Slogan "VERITAS ET AEQUETAS"  also applies to the society as sports should be a measure of "TRUE" strength and the exercise of "JUSTICE" through sportsmanship and fair play.
